Make Good Relationship With Your Tenants

I presumed I had found a superb renter, her references checked out well, she paid her deposit and a month’s lease ahead and signed the lease agreement with Glasgow Letting Agents. I almost certainly would not have known about it, but a neighbor occurred to tell me she had seen a cat constantly going in and out of my property – so I asked the renter and she announced “that’s not my moggy, I’m minding it for a chum while she’s away….” naturally I later discovered that the supposed buddy was away for months on end and never came back to pick up “her” cat . So short of going thru the court process of ejecting my renter – which is both time-intensive and expensive – I decided that so long as she continued to pay the rent on time, I might see what condition she left the property in when her tenancy came to a close and I’d have the choice to withhold some monies from her deposit if the moggy had caused any damage and if I wanted to clean the carpets on her exit.
