White Wine According to Flavor Descriptions
Varietals are the specific type of grapes used to make wine. Wine connoisseurs know that the best white wines are made from the grape juice and skin of green, gold, and yellowish grapes or from just the juice of selected red grapes.
As far as flavor descriptions are concerned, however, there are quite a few, which is why white wine appeals to multiple palates. Some common white wine flavor descriptions are citrus, apple, pear, grapefruit, lemon, lime, pineapple, melon, butter, honey, floral, herb, and earthy. Describing how wine tastes is never easy, but because of the varied aromas and flavors in people’s memories, no wine can ever be described as tasting the same, nor can it ever be wrong.
