Different Roofing Materials
When building your carport or purchasing a kit you need to determine which type of roofing material is right for you. Your choices often include shingles, plastic, or metal. Shingles go best on wooden carports and are usually used in permanent structures to match the building they’re attached to. Metal is used most commonly on metal frames, or on standalone installations. Plastic is used on some metal frames, but are more commonly combined with plastic frames for Instant Garages. However, just because these materials are traditionaly used with certain types of frames, doesn’t mean that you can’t mix and match to suit your needs. Just take into consideration the strengths and weaknesses of each type.
